In fact there is no death, only transformation. When an individual dies the body disintegrates and amalgamates with the five element and the self-sense, the soul, becomes one with Pure Consciousness. For those who believe in rebirth the soul comes back from pure consciousness again and again, taking birth after birth until it's karma is burnt and then achieves Moksha or permanent union with the One. Ultimately, the One alone is the Truth, all else is maya.
