One last question Ruben. When I had built some 64-bit libraries (GMP, MPFR, MPC) I had to pass an argument to configure that made it build either a 64-bit or 32-bit library. I have been looking on the WIKI for this but have not found it. Could you let me know what these are?

That should point MSYS to your mingw-w64 install. Sorry about that, will see that it gets fixed. If you need anything else, feel free to ask. Ruben 2010/8/9 Chris Saunders <[email protected]> Thanks for the assistance Ruben. I downloaded MSYS-20100707.zip from the link on the WIKI page, extracted it and moved the directory "msys" to C:\msys. I then entered sh postinstall.sh into the MSYS command window and received the message "sh: postinstall.sh: No such file or directory". Could you suggest what I could try next? I downloaded the file mingw-w64-v1.0-snapshot-20100730.tar.bz2 but this doesn't seem to extract to the same directory structure I had before. Also I wish to use MSYS. Could someone give me instructions on what I need to do? Regards Chris Saunders First, I'll point you to our wiki, where I have written up on exactly what you want: Mingw-w64 toolchain (I personally prefer sezero's builds) MSYS These outline what you need to know. Together with the naming scheme explanation (if you prefer not to use TDM-GCC), this will get you set up. MSYS will work perfectly fine with a x64 toolchain, as you said in your first message. I hope this helps, Ruben ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by Make an app they can't live without Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge http://p.sf.net/sfu/RIM-dev2dev ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Mingw-w64-public mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mingw-w64-public
