The instruction set on both types of processorsb is the same. Only some old
broken 64-bit Pentium 4's don't support it all, but they aren't really
x86_64... Anything that is sold as 64-bit to the consumer, or equivalently,
runs Windows x64, is targeted. The exact architecture name is x86_64 = AMD64
(=EMT64, except for aforementioned exception). It's not yet as complicated
as the x86 world.
