I don't happen to have an gcc 4.6 builds installed, but I can certainly
download one and try it.

I have two questions: Should I expect a 64-bit 4.6 gdb to work with
64-bit g++-4.7-built applications? How much can the version differ
between g++ and gdb and have it still work?

Also, let's say one of the 4.6 gdb's does work. I'm quite confused
about how I should manage my path. I want (I suppose) that my
applications pick up any dll's provided by Ruben's 4.7 build, but,
presumably, a 4.6 gdb should pick up it's corresponding 4.6 dll's.

I can't see how I would set the paths up properly to achieve this when
I am running a 4.7-built under the the 4.6 gdb.

Of course, this is due to my ignorance -- I don't really understand how
the various pieces fit together.

Any further insight would be appreciated.
