Hi, I have been trying to compile binutils natively using mingw-w64-stable-2.x-r4587. Original release 2.0 worked OK. After much hair pulling, I realised the answer was the binutils code doesn't yet cope with availability of _FILE_OFFEST_BITS on mingw so I just pass --disable-largefile to configure.
During the hair pulling I tried to follow the recent changes applied to stable around large file support and time. Does the following patch from JonY, originally added as r4540, need reapplying? It's absence causes no problems for me - but it looks like it should be there.
