In my experience when building a plain single architecture GCC build, I
have absolutely no need for the mingw directory's contents. The GCC build
does need the mingw/include directory to exist, but the compiler searches
the triplet subdirectories too, so duplication is not necessary. Multilib
might be a different story, but I don't like that, so I haven't run into
any issues there ;-)

Just start with a build*.sh and see where it takes you :)
