Thanks, great. That's what it was sounding like, but it's good to hear it confirmed for winsock. (By the way, my motivation is that I have some code that reads from a blocking socket rather than a windows async socket, and sometimes I want to write to it without waiting for a read to occur. so my idea is that I can just write with a separate writing thread, and let the reading thread block.) > Regards, > Kai Thanks for your experience on this.
