When you say "full mingw tree", do you mean that you are building crt,
headers, and tools using the top level configure/make, as opposed to
building each thing you want independently?

Which configure are we talking about in all of this? I thought you
were always asking about the crt configure, but I'm getting the
feeling that you're really asking about the top level configure.
