I think msys2 updates the mingw-w64-crt semi-sporadically, see e.g. this:

But I guess they don't mind if you ask them to update. (But right now, it
might be good to wait a day or so, if I push my recent patch for checking
pseudo reloc overflows, which I think would be very interesting for msys2 to
pick up, so when msys2 updates, they'd get that one too at the same time.)
I pushed that patch now too, so feel free to ask the msys2 people to
update mingw-w64-crt again.
