MIPv6 is not layer 2, so you would be better off asking this question from the people who write the linux-wlan-ng drivers. I'm sure there are some people on the list with knowledge of 802.11, but if you want someone to point out some exact place in some driver's code, I'm afraid this is the wrong place to ask.
