Hello All,

I am running MIPL 2.0.1 and my configuration is as follows:

HA<============>CoreRouter<============>AR

whereas my CN is attached to the CoreRouter (CR), and this whole setup is
confined within a lab and I am emulating handover by switching to the ESSID of
the AR (visit net), and back to the ESSID of the Home NEtwork when i want to
emulate the "return home" scenario. My MN is communicating with the WLAN
interfaces ofthe HA and AR in the ad-hoc mode.

I am calculating the handover delay as follows:

Th = T1 + T2 + T3

where
T1 = L2 ho + CoA auto-config + DAD

T2 = Home Registration (time calculated as th difference between te sent time
of the BU and reeive time of the BA)

T3 = time for Return Routability procedure and CN registration.

and Th = total handover delay.

In my calculations i measure T3 = 0.007 sec  whereas T2 = 1.041 sec.

I am surprised as to why is T2>T3, or am i doing something wrong.

In my opinion, considering my test bed, with short and equal distances to both
the HA and the CN, shouldn't T2 be also "roughly" in the same range as T3 or is
there a reason behind this long delay?

Can anyone send me their data, i would appreciate it.

Best Regards

Zarrar Yousaf
