Hi Nikolaus,

If your serial console is not working on a working minibook

1) Wrong connection to minibook. Check
http://projects.kwaak.net/twiki/bin/view/Epc700/SerialConsoleHowto

2) run a terminal #/sbin/getty -L /dev/ttyS0 115200 vt100. Make sure the
external terminal uses same baudrate / protocol as the minibook.

Some nice background of serial console howtos
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Serial-HOWTO.html

If your serial console is working on a working minibook

3) Your minibook is really bricked like a stone. I wonder if you get the JTAG
working then. UART could be disabled, etc..

If not working JTAG , then last resort is flash the nand by flash programmer.

ftp://ftp.ingenic.cn/3sw/00tools/nandprog/NandProgrammer_Manual.pdf

Question are then:

- which connections to make to the minibook for nandflash or JTAG.

- which software & source modification is needed for the minibook (like jtag
patterns to send, nand ecc, size, etc)

Grt Ruben.
