I know of the following somewhat related channels: #mipslinux for Linux on MIPS, but possibly for some guidance on lower level things like board initialisation #ci20 for the MIPS Creator CI20 board which uses the jz4780, but where the people involved in upstreaming support for the Ingenic SoCs can be found #qi-hardware for Qi-Hardware projects which include the Ben NanoNote which uses a jz4725 (effectively a jz4740 in a different package) I think there's also a channel for the GCW-Zero which uses a jz4770, I think, and whose developers also overlap with some of the other communities. In general, you will find some people following more than one channel.
