  ... most of which is bagage, from the mirror point of view.

  -- After three days of continuous mirroring I now have +/- 2 GB :-(.

  -- 75% is jakarta stuff (more to come), with almost everything
     in 3 copies (.zip, .tar.gz, .tar.Z)
  -- each package present in scores of (sub) versions

  If what is to come is like what I can see now,
  I think it is fair to say that for a mirror,
  only a few percent of the archive is relevant.
