Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

At a minimum, we are likely to shut down the rsync method of mirroring the Open 
MPI web site (i.e., it won't be available at our new hosting location).

I see that several of you are still using the rsync method.  Is there a reason 
you use rsync instead of a git clone?
