It's not a question of "prefered" or not... But RAL works on AMD64, ath dosn't... And I hate to take a look at the GENERIC-Configs of the Kernels to see what's supported and what's not (even if the 3.7-Website tells me "Hey we support..."). Maybe that's why RAL is prefered... it would be at least 1 reason for AMD64-Users... It depends to what you can get at the shops or via Internet but I wouldn't e.g. import a atw-based card... it would be an overkill. So I've just luck that my route ris still an x86er and able to use the ATH-Based card. For the AMD64 I've to get another one.. Kind regards, Sebastian
