You can use kismet to show you this. It would be handy if 'ifconfig <..> scan' indicated the wpa keyword (and maybe also the other attributes - akms, ciphers etc - ideally in a format which can be pasted straight on the ifconfig command line) but this isn't currently available in the base OS.
