I don't currently have them enabled, nor have I done any testing to see if it effects battery life much. I have a patch to do CPU frequency scaling on my AMD and that seems to help, as does using the Fn keys to reduce the brightness. My primary goal was tolerate video playback, and that seems to work well. -Bryan.
