So far, all I've seen is a mismatch between the binary and manual, or maybe just an unclear bit in the manual. Where's the quotation from the standard that says how cp should behave? Or at least a comparison with other implementations? What makes you think the manual is right and binary is wrong??!? Does the binary match the standard? If yes, the diff should be against the manual. If not, the fix needs to make the binary and manual both match the standard. Philip
