Are you putting two boards in one case for redundancy / high
availability ?  So that, when one fails the other can ... be taken
down too to fix the first one ?

I'm using a LianTec EMB-5740 series machine.  Not mini-itx, but 4x 1GB
ports and pretty low power consumption (although it's a Via C7-Eden
CPU, so may not have enough horsepower for your use case).
