So far, I think you should stick with plain old hdd, if you consider trim option in openbsd. On both laptop and desktop I have ssd, but I do run freebsd on them, using tunefs with "-t enable". My openbsd node has seagate 2.5 drive and I found it a lot better than wd. Even further, you might get hitachi yourself. Best regards Zoran
