You didn't say which OS release you're using, but from what I can see,
all the versions which talk about gdm here also talk about disabling xdm:
To do so, "gdm"
must be added at the end of "pkg_scripts" in rc.conf.local(8) (and
"xdm_flags" commented or removed).

Spelling is "daemon" not "deamon" (and in pkg_scripts it should be
"avahi_daemon")
so check rc.conf.local and make sure there is no typo.
