My bad. After applying the patch, the printer is still not responding, but the output of /usr/local/libexec/cups/backend/usb is different: root@poseidon:[cups]> sudo /usr/local/libexec/cups/backend/usb DEBUG: Loading USB quirks from "/usr/local/share/cups/usb". DEBUG: Loaded 68 quirks.
