And something like telnetd or sshd in the installers shell can be very helpfull for making the kernel panic and save the result of trace and ps.
It can be very helpfull, but not for that. The kernel in that state will not transmit to the machine that conected to it before the panic. Painful that I had to do the test with the diskless machine to recognize it. Tomorow I grab a 0 modem cable and try, unless I read here a better idea. Rodrigo.
