Thanks for the report.  The speed of scrolling is indeed
independent of the scale factor.  Internally, these are
distinct settings.  (I've been vaguely considering to couple
them, but there is nothing settled yet; it might be a bad
idea if the initial values don't match).

As to the pointer movement, there is still the option of
increasing the "acceleration factor" of X.  That's not the
same as changing the base speed, you might want to check
which option is better for you.  If the base speed is too
high, you may have difficulties to move the pointer with
"pixel precision".  If the acceleration factor is too high,
you may have difficulties to predict the pointer speed
that results from normal or higher input speed.
