perhaps a partial too broad, as the two main working directories are conf/ and data/ (with its many sub-directories). chown to www: recursively will cover all your needs. the :deamon group is perfectly fine. this config works for me on OpenBSD and FreeBSD. good luck to OP. dokuwiki is wonderful. -sub.
