If you're using X86 then lack of a swap partition shouldn't be an issue. We've been running X86 machines in production without swap for many years. On some non-X86 archs, (E.G. arm64), we have seen issues with having no swap configured, even without memory exhaustion. This has been discussed on the lists before.
