I'm going to put a plug in here for the Lynx browser.
My personal experience on the weaponization of big tech and associated
ostracization and/or oppression is that it's not always the big
companies doing this, but sometimes just ignorant individuals that are
given too much power and don't know what they are doing. This has
probably included myself at times.
