Just did a full reinstall: hhis is to confirm
that it runs fine with a swap partition.
It seems odd that a swap is needed to run properly when the machine
has 8GB of ram, but I suppose that is known (to those who have not
forgottem like I have). It also seems to be specific to platform:
a 512 MB RAM octeon runs fine without any swap.
