As has already been confirmed, those ports attach as cnmac(4) just as
the regular ethernet ports do also. The disclaimer only applies to
shared copper/SFP ports on the EdgeRouter PRO which was an older model
before the EdgeRouter 4/6/12 models were released. I'm not sure if those
shared copper/SFP ports are connected behind an internal switch but
ports behind an internal switch on several other models including the
EdgeRouter 12 are also unsupported. The EdgeRouter 12 in particular has
ports 0-7 behind an internal switch which makes then unsupported but
copper ports 8 and 9 as well as the two SFP ports work fine. I have used
an EdgeRouter 12 under those circumstances for several years with
OpenBSD.
