First: Ping is not workload.

Second:
Cdn.
Has.
Always.
Been.
Slow.
That.
Is.
TOTALLY.
Okay.

Just use mirror and everyone will be happy!

Hi,

Anyone noticing how slow the cdn.openbsd.org is for sysupgrade -s ?
Any reason?

To add to this:

I have performed 8 OpenBSD Server upgrades today. On all servers, it took me 55
minutes to download base79 (about 500MB). Even if the CDN has to fetch from
upstream,
1MBit/s seems highly unlikely.

Of these 8 servers, 3 were in the same DC and I performed the update
sequentially, so
with the assumption that "CDN is literally cache" at least the other two servers
should have been faster.

I was doing sysupgrade -r, so no snapshots, just a normal release update from
7.8 to
7.9.

Same problem yesterday.

I am in Germany if that helps.

Cheers,

Simon
