I miss Usenet.

When folks started leaving Usenet for dedicated web forums I think my communities fractured and lost their direction.

+1

IDK why people somehow like web forums.

OpenBSD has had a forum for the better part of the last 20 years.

    https://daemonforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=11

The daemonforums have replaced now defunct bsdforums, IIRC, which were
available as far as I can remember. I have no idea why FreeBSD
    guys felt
the urge to separate from the rest of the community. For the record
the FreeBSD forum you are referring to has been free of any serious
technical content for almost 10 years.
