I have a Lite-On DVD-ROM drive temporarily hanging off a Sun Ultra 5 which is running 3.9-stable as of ~ 25th Aug (while I tinker with making bootable sparc64 CDR's). Intrigued by your comment, I popped a Solaris 9 DVD into the drive and mounted it as -t cd9660. It mounted and I can see files. Same deal for a DVD movie (UDF?).
