Okay, there are ways - though I question the efficiency of those
backups, and maybe of that database (I have no idea what you do,
though, but crappy applications might be the cause).

However, while there *are* ways, I would be fairly surprised to find
DVB on a development machine; the same applies to multiple system
backups, and while a large database can be very useful in some lines of
development, it's not exactly necessary in most.

Of course, disk is quite cheap, and 1 TB is very affordable even for
home use; but it's still a horrendous amount that I wouldn't know how to
fill. Maybe configuring an anonymous-writable FTP server would help...
