Ok , i had followed the instructions at http://openbsdsupport.org/mysql.htm

I also forgot to add this as well in my previous reply, also in the text of the document you have been pointed to.

"So, be wise and change what you need to change for your setup! But only what you need to absolutely change. Don't go nuts and start turning knobs left and right. That may well be what you need to do on some other Unix, or variations of... But on OpenBSD the default setup is really good and is done as such to protect youself. The bottom line is: don't change what you don't need to change and know what you do and why!"

So, just don't go put big numbers and any numbers anywhere to make it work. This will give you more problem in the future. Do what you need to do for your setup and just that. And more importantly, learn why you need to do them, it will help you in many others situations.

Best,

Daniel
