Okay, I built and installed wmname from ports. I went in and started maptools, and on the first try, it works... YAY!!! Shutdown Maptools, and re-started it, gray screen... boo... I am assuming that it is an applications issue. I can reproduce it on my laptop as well, and it has an intel graphics card. The box I'm trying it on right now has nVidia under the hood (yes, I know, I messed up). I only use this once a week, so switching to Fluxbox is a minor, minor inconvenience...
