If you feel like playing with experimental stuff, here's a
trivial utility to control aucat volume:
http://caoua.org/alex/obsd/aucatvol.tar.gz
$ aucatvol
usage: aucatvol [-c chan] [-f dev] vol
-f dev
aucat midi contol device, default is "aucat:0"
-c
client number (default is 0) to change the volume.
Client numbers are persistent, ie if you run og123, it will
tend to get always the same number
and "vol" is the volume with the same units as in the -v
option of aucat. The volume is persistent too; ie clients
tend to keep their volume accross restarts.
