Absolutely! I have a Soekris 4801 with a SanDisk SDCFB-51 512MB that underwent thrashing for over a year with me trying to wear it out. It is still a very busy spamd filter with verbose logging and it has been in use since some time in 2005. Full OpenBSD installs minus X and comp (for size not security!) because I do builds on a powerful box and do PXE installs to the "appliance boxen". I use noatime and softdep on the filesystems, again for performance not to reduce wear. Larger CF for me means even more spare cells because my installations won't have more stuff in there. *** NOTE *** Please DO NOT CC me. I <am> subscribed to the list.
