Linux is lagging behind, because no one replaced nor helped Gilles with
doing the portable work. See

So all the good things that were released in 6.9 or 7.0 are not
available in Linux. We should probably have linked this conversation
earlier on the ml, or perhaps we should do a call for maintainer(s) in a
dedicated thread if this email as an answer to another question is too
buried.
