Hi, I can imagine a PIII 450Mhz is sufficient for 1-2 channels. My system, a soekris 4801 comes with 266MHz, 16K cache, no L2 cache. The cpu went up to 70% - 80% and the voice quality at the VoIP side was very bad. Once I stopped the octvqed daemon, the voice quality was good again. I talked to Christian about it and it seems that this little device is just a bit too slow.
I wouldn't mind paying Euro 10 per channel if the call quality (echo reducing) goes up.
