Did you install from the OS X binary
<http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mit-scheme/stable.pkg/9.2/mit-scheme-9.2-x86-64.dmg>
or compile from the unix binary
<http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mit-scheme/stable.pkg/9.2/mit-scheme-9.2-x86-64.tar.gz>
?

If the former, then you have to start Scheme from the installed application.

If the latter, then check to make sure that /usr/local/bin is in your PATH.
