Dear Stefan,

thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
Yes my segmentation image is 8 bit (unsigned char) and it's a binary image.
The program recognize it as binary (the icon near the name is the icon of a
segmentation), the problem is that is not possible work on it to modify it.
The problem occurs even if you create the segmentation in Mitk and save that as
".vtk" by right-clicking on the segmentation image.
When you re-open the original image and the segmentation separately (not as
Mitk session) it is not possible to work on segmentation.

Do you know a way to overcome this problem?

Thanks a lot,

Cheers,
 Katia

Subject: AW: [mitk-users] see an image volume as a segmentation

Hello Katia,

we need a little bit more information about your images/segmentations. MITK
should actually recognize your segmentation image as segmentation if it
contains just two distinct values, i.e. it is a binary image. But... if I am
not completely wrong there is a catch: your segmentation image's data type must
be 8 bit (unsigned char). You can check that by right-clicking on your
segmentation image in the data manager ("show details").

Best,
    Stefan

Betreff: [mitk-users] see an image volume as a segmentation

Dear Mitk-users,

I'm new in Mitk world, so I'm sorry if this question is trivial.
I have a segmentation image (created with another software) that I would
correct using Mitk.
The problem is that I cannot work with it as the program don't see it as a
segmentation of the original image.

Does somebody help me?

Thanks a lot

Cheers,
Katia
