Hi Matt,

we discussed this in our weekly meeting. We don't have any definition what 
should happen and think this should be covered by VTK. 

Can you tell us what is happening right now?
Do you know what a vtkLookupTable does when there is a NaN value inside an 
image?
Is there any crash in MITK, because of Nan values in images?
