Hi Franziskus,

if you’re developing your own module you need to add an Object Factory. Have a
look at mitkPlanarFigureObjectFactory or mitkContourObjectFactory. It registers
the associated file endings as well as the reader, writer and mapper types.
I hope this is what you are looking for.

Regards,

Tobi

Hi,

I’m new to MITK and I would like to add a new file format to the
file-open-Dialog of the MITK Workbench. The format I’m talking about consists
of a *.dat and a *.raw file. It’s comparable to the *.mhd files.

Till know I didn’t figure out where the workbench decides how to open a file.
To read the files with ITK is no Problem, I just need to plug it in the
workbench.

So can anybody say me how to add a new file format to the workbench?

Regards,
Franziskus
