HI,
Thank you so much for your replies. we are planning to develop a
cardiovascular simulation application with our own GUI, covering from
imaging ,3D-modeling, meshing to flow simulation. We like some features of
MITK, such as dicom support, plug-in framework, undo/redo,
volume visualization, etc. So, we are thinking of how to use MITK for our
project. Since we want a new GUI, does this mean we can only use MITK
without its application framework? In this way, some features we like may
be not available any more ? like undo/redo and existing MITK plug-ins (such
as dicom tool, volume visualization). But we can still integrate some parts
from MITK as Sascha mentioned, such as reading in dicom files, volume
rendering, besides render windows and Qt widgets?
BTW: I built the latest version from https://github.com/MITK/MITK.git with
the default settings and launched the workbench successfully. But when I
rebuilt it with more plug-ins (such as python plug-in), I couldn't launch
workbench even though the building was successful. I also tried 2014.10
version and it doesn't have such issue.
Best,
Hongzhi
