Dear Divya,

to activate Polhemus trackers, you have to activate "MITK_USE_POLHEMUS_TRACKER" in Cmake on the build level and give the path to the SDK afterwards. On superbuild level "MITK_BUILD_CONFIGURATION = mitkNavigationModules" will activate all libraries, modules, etc. needed for the IGT functionality. After doing this and compiling MITK, the polhemus tracker is available in the TrackingToolbox view of the plugin org.mitk.gui.qt.igttracking. Find attached a screenshot to see how it should look like when the Polhemus tracker is activated. Please note, however, that this was only tested with the Polhemus Liberty, but not with a Patriot system. Please let us know if you get it running with your hardware.

To access a tracker that is connected in your own view/plugin, you can use the QmitkNavigationDataSourceSelectionWidget. Examples on this are available in the view IGT Tracking Lab of the IGT examples plugin [1]. Please also have a look at the IGT tutorials [2].

I tried to use *mitk::PolhemusTrackingDevice * but I have no idea how to proceed further.

It would be great if you can provide a solution for this as soon as possible.

Note:

I have already acquired the position and orientation information from the sensor using the Polhemus SDK. All I want is to calibrate that position  and orientation so that I can display it in a 3d volume..
