Yeah, I saw all that, but I've been unable so far to work up a compilation 
environment; I don't know what the issue is, as I have a dead-stock up to 
date ubuntu environment with plenty of resources. I'm also working and a 
grad student. I know that's a poor excuse, but there it is.

Besides not having the cash to just buy a Mac and some commercial package 
I've been soaking in *nix and open source for too long to find that 
palatable anyways. I wish I could contribute coding.
