Though I'm not using jack at the moment, I plan to. Here's a
suggestion for a change to improve jack environment reliability.
It sounds kludgey because it is: a RECONNECT TO AUDIO button,
like Ardour has.

Currently if mixxx loses it's connection to jackd, it dies
a horrible death, and requires a quit/restart and then load
playlists etc to get back to that point. Bad news when live.

Lots of things can cause jackd problems while running, and if
you have a complicated set of patches running the likelihood
of a hiccup increases.

Currently at mixxx startup, if the audio subsystem given in
previously-configured audio settings are not available, mixxx
presents the prefs page. That's nice for first time startup,
but chances are once you've used it a bit the audio config
you had set is the one you want, and the problem is elsewhere;
if I need to change it I know to go to preferences.

I can see how a change like this could affect startup flow;
maybe a "lock audio settings" button that defaults off? The
RECONNECT TO JACK button (reconnect to selected audio) could
be buried in the Prefs page, but with a keyboard shortcut.
