Hi,
Tried 1.6.0.0 beta. Couldn't get it to work. Many, many, many crashes.
Bug list attached.
Let me know if you'd like more information.
Dave
SETUP
1. Installed Mixxx 1.5.0.2
2. Created Several Playlists
3. Exit Mixxx
4. Rename \Program Files\Mixxx to \Program Files\Mixxx-1.5.0.2
5. Fresh Install Mixxx 1.6.0.0 beta 2
ISSUES
BUG #1 - Persistent Playlist
1. Select Playlists from the drop-down combo-box
2. Highlight all playlists
3. Right-click
4. Select Remove
5. Change drop-down combo-box
6. Repeat step 1.
7. Some playlists are still visible
8. Repeat from step 1 until no playlists remain
Actual Behaviour
All the playlists did not get removed.
Expected Behaviour
The playlists should have been removed the first time I selected Remove.
BUG #2 - Full Screen
1. Click the Maximise button on the title bar
2. The window stretches to the full size of the screen.
3. Lots of black space to the right (because the background image is fixed)
Actual Behaviour
The window maximised, beyond the extents of the background image.
Expected Behaviour
The window should have filled up only to the size of the background image.
BUG #3 - Rectangular Black Areas
Using the default skin, there are a few areas of black space that look out of
place (they should probably be blue).
BUG #4 - Menu Does Nothing?
1. Select Playlist from the drop-down combo-box.
2. Right click in the large area below the combo-box.
3. Select "Add to Play Queue"
Actual Behaviour
Nothing.
Expected Behaviour
Was expecting a File open dialog that would allow me to browse for a .m3u
file. This .m3u file would then be the source for the new playlist.
Also, the menu item should have been named "Add new Playlist" instead of
"Add to Play Queue".
BUG #5 - Another Menu Does Nothing?
1. Select Play Queue from the drop-down combo-box.
2. Right click in the large area below the combo-box.
3. Select "Add to Play Queue"
Actual Behaviour
Nothing.
Expected Behaviour
Something?
BUG #5 - Yet Another Menu Does Nothing?
1. Select Play Queue from the drop-down combo-box.
2. Right click in the large area below the combo-box.
3. Select "Add to Playlist"
Actual Behaviour
Nothing.
Expected Behaviour
Something? There is a pull-right menu that should open into a submenu, but
the submenu does not appear, either. Of course, I have no playlists. ;-) So
maybe the option should be disabled?
BUG #6 - Yet Again, Another Menu Does Nothing?
1. Select Library >> Rescan Library form the main menu
Actual Behaviour
Nothing.
Expected Behaviour
...?
BUG #7 - Crash
1. Select Library >> Rescan Library form the main menu (have lots of songs)
2. Select Library >> Import Playlist
3. Press ESC
4. Select Library from the drop-down combo-box
5. Right-click a song (OGG format)
6. Click Load in Player 1
7. Right-click same song
8. Click Load in Player 2
Error!
Actual Behaviour
Mixxx dialog appears with the following error:
"QObject::startTimer: timers cannot be started from another thread"
This dialog continues to appear until Mixxx crashes.
Expected Behaviour
#1: The song should have loaded into the left-hand player.
#2: The song should not have been able to load in the right-hand player.
#3: The QOBject error dialog should only have appeared once (i.e., only
try to spawn the thread once, instead of what appears to be recursively).
