Hi everyone,

Mixxx 1.6.1 is now available for public consumption!

Details/changelog on the blog:

This release addresses the most important issues that were discovered in
1.6.0 and is mainly a bugfix release. We also have a PPC package
available for OS X 10.5 users thanks to a generous contributor:

(I've listed it as unsupported for now because if anyone finds any
problems that are specific to OS X/PPC, we won't have the resources to
fix them.)

It's been only two months since 1.6.0, so that makes 1.6.1 a rather
quick release compared to our past track record. If we keep trunk
stable, I think we'll be able to have more regular releases like this.

On another note, while we've still got a few big features on the
backburner (sessions, new MIDI stuff, m4a), our roadmap is starting to
look a bit barren. I'd like to create a new user survey to get some
centralized user feedback, which will help us figure out what new
features people want the most. (For those who aren't aware, we had a
very successful user survey last year that helped us sort out our
priorities. I'm happy to say that most of the big things people
requested last year are already in 1.6.0.) :)

Anyways, there's definitely going to be the opportunity for some big
brainstorming sessions in the coming months.

Thanks,
Albert
